Plant Biology Minor

This minor provides a broad perspective into plant biology and the importance of plants in today’s society.

The minor in Plant Biology is not open to Botany majors. The minor is open to Biology majors, but only 10 credit hours may count toward the minor in Plant Biology and the AB or BS in Biology. Courses used for this minor cannot be used for the minor in horticulture or biotechnology, except for BIO 115BIO 116, or BIO 191.  A minimum 2.00 GPA is required for all courses in the minor; no courses for the minor may be taken credit/no-credit. Advanced courses must represent at least 10 hours of the total 18. If you plan to take a minor in botany, please consult with the chief departmental advisor.
