MTH 119. Quantitative Reasoning. (4) (MPF)

Quantitative Reasoning is a course designed to satisfy the Miami Plan Formal Reasoning requirement for students in majors that don’t specifically require a mathematics course beyond the level of Precalculus. The focus is on critical thinking and applications, and all topics are covered from a contextual standpoint. Topics include mathematical reasoning and problem solving, consumer math, probability, and statistics. Instructors have the discretion to cover other selected topics as time permits. V.
Prerequisites: placement in MTH 125 or higher, or successful completion of MTH 102 or MTH 109.
