Mathematics Education Certificate (non-licensure)
The Certificate in Mathematics Education (non-licensure) introduces the skills and experiences for students who are interested in teaching mathematics in either collegiate or alternative K-12 settings, but not pursuing state licensure. The certificate consists of two mathematics courses focused on content, two education courses focused on pedagogy, and a 30-hour experiential teaching component. Students must complete an application to be admitted to the certificate program. This certificate is not open to students enrolled in the Integrated Mathematics major. Applications are available on the website of the Mathematics Department.
