Graphic + Experience Design - Bachelor of Fine Arts
The Graphic + Experience Design degree teaches visual design—branding, publications, packaging, and digital interfaces—then shows you how to create complete experiences. Students learn design fundamentals through hands-on projects with real clients, developing both creative and communication skills alongside faculty who bring decades of professional design experience. This BFA program teaches you to connect physical spaces and digital interfaces, designing everything from marketing materials to staff interactions. Through guided critiques and presentation practice, you'll learn how your design choices influence how people move through spaces and make decisions. Student capstone work is exhibited in downtown Cincinnati locations, and advanced projects might include designing a pediatric clinic experience that reduces anxiety—from playful graphics to staff scripts that comfort families—or creating complete sports arena experiences. Specialized study-away opportunities allow students to analyze world-class experience design at major destinations. A dedicated course covers portfolio development and freelance business skills, preparing graduates for careers as experience designers, brand designers, and digital interface designers
